Taylor Lochrane, a former IRF Fellow and immediate past chairman of the IRF Fellow Alumni Association, met Tuesday with U.S. President Obama to demonstrate new transportation technology. The presentation came during the President's visit to the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in Virginia.
It is in this sense that the 1st International Road Federation Asia Regional Congress & Exhibition is a timely and useful initiative for transport policymakers and practitioners throughout the region. The IRF Fellowship Program provides a one-time graduate level scholarship to young professionals who have strong academic backgrounds, professional qualifications, leadership potential, and a commitment to return to their respective home countries after graduation. Students selected for the Class of 2016 will also participate in the 10-day IRF Road Scholar Program, held in Washington, D.C. in January.
