Nominations are now being accepted from IRF member organizations who many nominate any national, regional, or city government for the 2018 IRF Global ‘Find A Way’ Road Safety Award. Deadline: April 18, 2018.

In recent years, technological breakthroughs have combined to offer police forces more options to capture violations, and the use and impacts of these technologies need to be fully understood to ensure they achieve intended results. The workshop provided key insights to Bulgarian decision-makers involved in selecting and deploying these systems.

IRF members and partner organizations shared ideas, solutions and innovative approaches enabled by the exponential growth in analytical tools and technological enablers on the occasion of a landmark Road Safety & Innovation Forum held in Sofia, Bulgaria on March 27, 2018. The international knowledge-sharing event was attended by more than 350 participants.

Mr. Rudy Malfabon, Director of Nevada’s Department of Transportation, will join keynote speakers opening the premier industry conference & expo in 2018. Nevada is home to prestigious road programs including the Hoover Dam Bypass (2012 GRAA Winner) and a recently launched project to explore how transit vehicles sense their environment and communicate with other vehicles, infrastructure, and individual users.

The US-based Transportation Research Board (TRB) is co-sponsoring a one-day workshop titled “Traffic Signs & Pavement Markings: International State of the Art on Policies & Research” organized on the opening day of the European Road Conference, October 22-24 2018 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
