IRF sponsored a foresight session on energy-efficient sustainable pavements during the recent PIARC World Road Congress in Abu Dhabi. The aim of the session was to present a comparative benchmark of the state of readiness of the most promising pavement technologies.

The IRF Transport Connectivity Forum, one of the largest transport events in Montenegro, brought together senior political representatives from the Balkan region together with transport industry partners for a forward-looking dialogue on advancing the region’s ambitious connectivity agenda.

The International Road Federation has presented its annual “Find a Way” Global Road Safety Award to the Mexican public toll operator, CAPUFE, for its efforts to build road safety management capacity.

The IRF is convening a one-day best practice workshop on February 18, 2020 addressing excessive speeding & distracted driving as part of an official side event to the 3rd Global Ministerial Road Safety Conference in Stockholm Sweden.

The Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) and associated Federal Aid Eligibility guidelines will be going through extensive changes starting December 31, 2019. IRF will be holding a dedicated workshop for countries that use MASH as their roadside safety testing criteria on November 19, 2019.
