A report jointly released today by the International Road Federation (IRF Global) and McKinsey & Company will help transport decision-makers and international financial institutions identify and leverage efficiency gains in road project design and delivery, potentially saving billions of dollars each year.

The International Road Federation (IRF Global) is drawing urgent attention to the need for coordinated efforts to foster a safety culture on road construction sites, currently responsible for hundreds of thousands of injuries and thousands of deaths worldwide.

2018 marks seven decades since the International Road Federation (IRF) was established by two dozen industry leaders in Washington DC to assist Western Europe in the reconstruction of its infrastructure after the second World War. Ever since, IRF has played a leading role in promoting road infrastructure around the world as a means of achieving social and economic progress with a unifying slogan: "Better Roads mean Better Living".

IRF will host a gathering of mobility professionals and road, tunnel and bridge equipment manufacturers from around the world on the occasion of the IRF Global Road Conference & Expo, November 7-9, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada USA.

The International Road Federation has announced today the winners of the 2017 IRF Global Road Achievement Awards at the closing of the IRF Middle East & North Africa Regional Congress & Exhibition.

A global summit of road mobility thought-leaders opens at the Dubai World Trade Center today at the invitation of the International Road Federation and the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority under the auspices of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. With 200 speakers presenting in 50 sessions, the conference is one of the most important events for road professionals ever held in the Middle East and North Africa.

Technology and innovation being increasingly understood as essential drivers to propel Africa forward in meeting its development goals were some of the main findings of the 2nd IRF Africa Regional Congress which was held July 11-13 in Windhoek, Namibia.

More than 1,000 transportation leaders will converge on Dubai from October 29-31, 2017 for a forward-looking and business-friendly IRF Middle East & North Africa Regional Congress & Exhibition, themed “Mobility Solutions for the 21st Century”.

The International Road Federation today gave its prestigious annual road safety accolade — known as the ‘Find A Way Award — to the Korea Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. This award was instituted as part of the United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety by IRF Chairman Eng. Abdullah Al-Mogbel in recognition of the value of political leadership in driving road traffic injury reduction strategies.

The IRF today introduced a unique Global Credential Program for Road Safety Audit Team Leaders, recognizing the essential role of Road Safety Audits to drive change in safe road design practices.
