This intensive 5-day course provides a comprehensive foundation in managing complex infrastructure projects, with a focus on roadway, bridge, and tunnel developments. Participants will explore the full project life cycle—from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure—while gaining practical tools in work breakdown structures, project delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, ABC), contracting, prequalification, and bonds.
The program covers essential project controls, including time and resource management, scheduling, human resources, material handling, and resource leveling. Key topics also include risk identification and mitigation, cost estimating and bidding strategies, sustainability through LEED principles, and building resilience in infrastructure assets.
On the final day, participants examine the role of modern technologies—big data, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and asset management systems (BMSs and PMSs)—in enhancing project outcomes. Real-world case studies and discussions on constructability reviews ensure actionable insights that professionals can apply immediately to deliver successful, sustainable infrastructure projects.
