Coming in the wake of a highly successful 2nd IRF Africa Regional Congress, IRF Global has expanded operations on the African continent with two additional locations servicing members and road stakeholders in West/Southern Africa, and East/Central Africa respectively.

“For seven decades, IRF has assisted countries in progressing towards better, safer and smarter road systems. The expansion of our regional operations on the African continent serves this goal well, and will ensure world-class knowledge resources, advocacy services, and continuing education programs continue to be available to Africa’s rising generation of transport sector leaders” according to IRF Chairman Eng. Abdullah Al-Mogbel

Clarence Karot, a civil engineer with a 15-year track record supporting road agencies, will head IRF operations for East/Central Africa, from Nairobi, Kenya. "I am pleased to join IRF at this time when African Governments are investing in construction of strategic infrastructure aimed at increasing and easing movement of goods and services within itself. I believe that IRF will continue to play a critical role in imparting and dissemination of knowledge & information so critical in ensuring that creative decisions as to investments and management of the infrastructure are made to overcome the challenges of limited resources.”

Patrick Bekoe, a professional geotechnical engineer with a doctorate in civil engineering, will coordinate IRF operations for West/Southern Africa, from Accra, Ghana. “I am elated and grateful to join the IRF as the Western and Southern Africa Regional Operations Manager. It is like been adopted into a global family of transportation professionals. I look forward to contribute my quota towards the transformational agenda of Africa in Building Better Roads and a Better World”.
