This 5-day course is designed to provide a high-level view of the road finance environment while exploring some of the tools, techniques and methods that drive the financial planning and analysis required for sustainable road investment program. Delegates will build their financial analysis of skills in Module 1 – Capital Budgeting and Investment Decision Making; explore various sources of public funds and applying their financial skills in a programmatic approach to road investing in Module 2 – Transportation Funding; and then learn the foundational techniques and drivers of project finance to increase their knowledge and ability to leverage private investments as a source of road funding. Delegates completing all three modules and examinations will earn an IRF Professional Certificate in Road Finance and Financial Management to demonstrate their current skillsets to project owners and investors.
