The purpose of this seminar is to help road authorities understand what can be done to help them meet their Decade of Action commitment to reduce fatalities 50% by 2020.

Two critical aspects of road safety are Roadside / Median Safety and Work Zone Safety. This training program will focus on both of these very important road safety concepts.

“Road Safety & Innovation - Leveraging new technologies and good practices from Europe and beyond” is an international forum for road safety & technology stakeholders held under the patronage the Ministry of Regional Development & Public Works (MRRB), the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) and the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

In response, the IRF has created a complete and comprehensive world class safety workshop — Safer Roads by Design™ — built to leave a lasting impression on attendees. Its intent is to introduce concepts that can be used to prevent accidents, as well as concepts that will help reduce the severity of accidents.

IRF associates itself with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and draws the attention of the road & health community to the devastating socio-economic impacts of road crashes.
