Organized by key representative organizations of the roads & mobility sector, the European Road Congress “Corridors for Shared Prosperity” offers an essential platform to deepen the understanding of these challenges, widen the engagement framework with regional road stakeholders, and achieve consensus on key policy, investment and planning measures.

This course discusses the reasons pedestrians, bicyclists, motorcyclists, public transportation vehicles and non-motorized vehicles are involved in impacts that result in fatalities and serious injuries.

Attendees will learn how to design a safe work zone and they will learn about the newest technologies for work zone safety. The use of positive protection from crash worthy barriers, truck mounted attenuators, dynamic, variable message signs, average speed camera enforcement and flagger training will be among the topics discussed.

The training course will cover the principles, concepts and components of Roadside Safety . The workshop contents will be based on well-accepted literature and on the hands-on experiences of the instructor.

“Road Safety & Innovation - Leveraging new technologies and good practices from Europe and beyond” is an international forum for road safety & technology stakeholders held under the patronage the Ministry of Regional Development & Public Works (MRRB), the Road Infrastructure Agency (API) and the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
